Healthcare Access
Access to affordable and quality healthcare is one of the most basic needs of American citizens.
Access to affordable and quality healthcare is one of the most basic needs of American citizens. For far too long, Congress has stood by while our seniors, veterans, and working families have been stranded with regard to healthcare. We are falling behind other industrialized countries on providing citizens with care, and my opponent, to be frank, is on a warpath against healthcare. Nancy Mace voted for the Limit, Save, Grow Act, a bill that would have threatened Medicaid coverage for about 10 million Americans, as well as reduced budget availability for veteran healthcare and vaccines. Mace’s opposition to healthcare doesn’t stop there, either, She voted against expanding the Affordable Care Act, and even fought legislation that capped insulin costs to $35 dollars per month. Additionally, Mace has floated an increase to the federal retirement age, as well as her wish to strip social security from American taxpayers.
Clearly, Nance Mace isn’t fighting for Lowcountry healthcare access, but I will. If elected, I am prepared to support legislation in Congress such as:
The Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act
The Healthcare Providers Safety Act
The PATIENT Act
The Incentivizing Medicaid Expansion Act
From those currently uninsured to Medicaid recipients and our senior citizens, the Lowcountry deserves healthcare access and affordability that allows our residents to remain healthy and economically stable. I am ready to take on this challenge.
